No programmatic differentiation between elements

Long Description

  • Assistive technology cannot interpret where one control ends and the next begins.
  • A user might or might not be able to operate controls individually with a keyboard.
  • Individual controls do not appear in the tab order.
  • User might or might not be able to guess there are separate controls.

  • A span might create a visual separation between controls, but they are not truly individual controls.
  • Tabbing through controls will show if controls are in tab order and if they are separated.
